6 months Zinc wear in Puget sound example

Just thought Id share the results of my latest Zinc replacement with a diver.

Do you have this service performed semi-annually on a routine basis? What does the service cost each time, if you don’t mind sharing. And where is this dive service located on the sound?

I found my zincs wearing off while the boat was on the trailer stored away from water even after washing off. There is something in the air too or perhaps I did not wash off thoroughly enough. I found corroded Zink debris in the thruster tunnels and on the ground under the prop. See my album for pics

i was charged $336. i usually go about 4-6 months between zinc changes.

I also have a large divers dream plate on the stern which catches any excessive individual zinc wear around the stern of the boat. this gets eaten very slowly as its so large. about 5% per 6 months.
