I posted about a month ago that My 7212 plotter would not pull up the Lake Vu maps after winter storage. I received good comments about reloading the maps on a new card which I attempted to do. Garmin Express (GE) would not load it onto the new card, so I contacted Garmin and after about 48 hours they said the 2018 version would not run on the 7212, so GE won’t finish the load and comes up with an error at the end.
So now, I thought they would let me download the 2014 version, but alas they don’t have it. So now I have absolutely no mapping/charts on the plotter for inland lakes. They told me to go Ebay, I don’t think so.
I find it frustrating that they tell me that it doesn’t work when in fact it did and has been for five years! So with that, does anybody have the 2014 Lake Vu version or even the 2018 version? If so, would you be willing to zip file it to me or mail me a copy? Rheimb1@live.com Or does anybody have any other ideas? I can’t transfer the old maps to a new card as they, in their futile attempts had me delete and try and reload it on the original card.
