A Marina Near DC or Baltimore for Andiamo

We are looking for a recommendation for a moorage that is relatively near to one of the major airports in the DC or Baltimore area. Andiamo, our Ranger 29, needs a secure and temporary home for June and July while its crew is attending to family matters back home. We may need to ship the tug back home so being somewhat close to an appropriate sized boat ramp or yard that has a lift would be desired. Andiamo is currently in Solomons, Maryland and that is as far south as we would like to be. Jim Favors and Mike Rizzo, those "Ranger Tug Heavy-Hitters" have been quite helpful.

Active Captain and information from other loopers is being gathered. However, please help if you are able.

I would suggest you join us on the West River at Shady Oaks Marina. This facility is quite, safe, and accessible. In addition to our R29 there is Nudge R 29 and two other Ranger Tugs nearby. The marina staff is helpful and attentive and there is both a boat ramp and lift at nearby facilities. Both Baltimore and Regan airports are less than an hour away. If you decide to take a look, let me know, I will be happy to make the introductions.

Glad you found a place. Our R-31 is moored at James Creek Marina in DC which is only several miles from National Airport in DC. You can see the airport from our Marina. The monthly slip fee here is not bad compared to others in the area.
