We recently purchased a C28 and will receive it in a few weeks.

Does anyone know if the AC system has a dehumidification mode that you can leave on while it's at the dock? Our old Sea Ray AC system had this mode which was nice because it controlled mold etc.

I was curious if the system Cutwater uses has this mode.

Thanks
Joe

You did not mention if it is new or used and the AC controller. Our 2011 Ranger Tug has a dehumidification mode. Quite frankly, I just keep the air on when away. Just put the temperature up a little higher if you want to. All the same components are used in either cycle so why change it. The power consumption, in my opinion, is rather negligible.

If no one has a definitive answer you can surely find a manual on line.

I have a 2016 26 Cutwater with Marine air system. The controller is a Passport I/O .There is a moisture mode operation. It turns on approx every 4 hours and the fan circulated for 30 minutes. The air temperature is sampled and entered into memory. If needed the cooling system starts and runs until the temperture is dropped by 2 degrees then shuts down. This cycle happens every 4 hours. HU1 code is displayed when the unit is in this mode. I have only used it once just to see how it works. The area that we boat( Southern Wisconsin ,Lake Michigan )it is not really needed. In areas in the country where the humidity is constantly high it is a good feature.

Thanks Guys. It sounds like it's the same system used in the SeaRay.

it's a 2017 C28 by the way.

We put a small home ac on the roof of our 2010 Ranger tug to keep her dry and cool during the hot and huymid Florida summers. At $68 plus a few $$$ for installation, it saves the bigger boat a/c, keeps the boat comfortable, and we find it sufficient to keep the boat cool underway on an inverter.
