On Regal You-Tube they suggested cleaning the condensate line with Hydrogen Peroxide (NEVER bleach!) to avoid algae buildup. Got into the AC unit on our Ranger 25 Classic and looked for the condensate line. There is nothing connected to anything. In FL we have humidity, so I would expect the pan to be at least moist--NOTHING. AC working fine, just no condensate! Others wrote the drain leads to the shower pan. Can't verify that. In older window units used in houses they used to draw the cold condensate up over the incoming warm freon to "pre-cool" and gain efficiency. Any chance Ranger did that??? A stroke of brilliance would be appreciated. Joe Lane  Thanks.

Hello Joe,

On the classic versions, the condensate drain ran down to the bilge and did not run to any boxes.

Thank you,

On my 2010 R25 the condensate line in led overboard veal a dedicated thru Hull. The pan is dry.

You might want to double check if that is really the condensate line being led out via thruhull. The condensate pane would not offer any resistance to water intrusion as it is open. Usually condensate goes to bilge or a separate pump. The water cooling circuit where water is pumped into the cooling coil is usually connected to a thruhull to allow the heated water to exit.

If condensate were to go the same way it would have to be pretty high up along with the ac unit for gravity to exit the condensate and to prevent any waves or swells to flood the boat.
