Anyone have experience with these boats?

I don't think Atlas has any kind of an owners forum - you might try the Hull Truth. Built in Florida. Not really in the same class as the Ranger Tugs, IMHO.

Oh I agree that they are not in the same class. I see some used models that are really affordable and might be a better fit for me than a c-dory. An R27 is my dream boat but not sure when I will be able to afford one.

Well, from just looking at the photos, I think my R21EC has more than the Acadia 25, for less money. I think the Acadia is in a different class and is for people who are looking for something different than a Ranger. The Acadia looks more like a day boat, possibly for fishing. It is just my opinion.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree the R21-EC is a great boat but one deal breaker for me is an enclosed head with shower. That is something that the Acadia offers. I am also not a big fan of the space taken with the engine hatch on the 21. My real problem is I am sold on an R27 but cannot afford one at this time. Trying to find a compromise that can get me on the water while I am saving for an R27. I wish there were an R-23 with an enclosed head and shower. That would be a no brainer for me.

I mostly do day boating and the R21EC is verrry economical to operate. You might consider a used R25 or R25SC. There are several available that are loaded and with not many hours - for less money. The 27 grew out of the 25.

I stopped by the factory in late May and looked at some of the Acadia's. They had a couple under construction. Looked to me like they do nice work! The used Acadia 25 they had for sale was a little rough, but should clean up nicely. The used 22 was in very nice shape, had not been used much.

New Acadia's are not inexpensive! I believe their build quality is excellent. But, they aren't trimmed like a Ranger; they seem more workboat oriented to me.
