Hello,

This is a video on how to replace the raw water impeller on the R27 but will guide you on how to access the front of the engine so you can then service your bilge pump.

Hope this helps!!

thanks, I have seen the video but didn't realize it could be used to get to the pump.

You will be able to access but be prepared with a mirror and a good bright light. It is difficult to get your arms in and still see what you are doing. Doable but difficult. Have a mirror set in there within reach with plenty of light and it will be much easier.

I agree with what Curt said. And hopefully you have long arms! Did you check to see if the pump worked on the manual switch? My issue was usually the sensor. I replaced it with a float switch and eliminated the issue. While you are at it you may want to eliminate the bilge alarm sensor and join the alarm with the float sensor. I did that. I figured if that bilge pump is needed you have problems and want to know it when it goes on. You can always silence the alarm once it sounds.
