I have a 2011, 25SC and would like to install an access door under the microwave into the "cave". Also under the step for the port side seat. Any ideas or comments? It would a great place for more storage with the proper access. Thank You, Andy G.

Check my photo album, gallery2.php?g2_itemId=23750 there are two pictures of doors installed on our 27. Similar I am sure to your 25sc. The pictures are a bit dark, I will try to take some better ones and post later. A search of the TugNuts forum should find a couple more installations of doors.

Good Luck, Herb

Like Herb we also had a door installed under the microwave on our R27. The door is the same as one for under the sink so everything matches. You can get the matching door thru the parts dept. at Ranger Tugs. With the door in place it opens up a whole new world of easy access storage.

Herb,

Did you put one acess door or two under the table area?

One. I will take some pix today. The one under the microwave is 12x12, could have been 12x15.
The one under the dinette is about 20x10.

Bought them from Defender, and Russ of Traveler helped (installed) me install them when we visited them last October. We bought the hinges locally.

Herb

Was the install done with glue and clamps? And I assume a jig saw for cutout?

Don

Under the microwave in my R27 I installed a Tempress 11X15 Access hatch (TEMPR#44230). It pretty much matches the access hatch located in the step to the cockpit/cabin door. Installation is easy, cut out with a jig saw and bolt into place with machine screws.

Would love to see a pick of the Tempress plate installation. 😉 One of the things I like about it is that it is not more wood. Too much wood can get a bit busy . . . .

Gin requested pictures of the Tempress installation. I have now placed two Tempress pictures in album #106. Osprey. See pages 2 and 3 if you go to the entire set of modification pictures. To see just the panel installation pictures go to the album section of Tugnuts and do a search for Tempress.

Osprey, thanks for posting! I'll check 'em out.
