After reading the ACR discussions, and much contemplation, I have added a manual control switch for ACR mode.

I wanted the switch to be close to the power distribution panel, but even though there is open real estate near the front of the panel, the back side is clobbered with wires. So I mounted it just over the CO detector. On my boat, there was a pre-existing 3" hole over the CO monitor, behind the mouse fur, so I cut a 4" piece of starboard to go over the hole and hold the switch.

Supplies were 17' of three conductor wire, DPDT switch, and a handful of spade connectors.

In shore, both ACRs are disabled. In solar, the thruster ACR is enabled. In engine, both ACRs are enabled.

Good idea. Which battery bank is connected directly to the various sources of charge? IOW where is the alternator lead landed? Solar? Shore charger?

It depends.

On shore, each bank is charged individually by the charger = ACRs disabled.

On solar, the solar charges house and engine start. Thruster ACR enabled for thruster to pick up charge from start battery.

On engine, all from engine alternator, both ACRs enabled so house and thruster pick up charge.
