I have coming a Grape 190 panel which replaces the 180, which basically has the same dimensions. I'll mount it on the same rails as the Kyocera 140, using Sea-Dog rail mount brackets. The 190 comes with 35 inches of wiring tipped with MC4 connectors. My question is how to connect the MC4 connector to the Kyocera wiring which is contained in the black box under the Kyocera panel. Do I need some more 10 gauge wiring or the multibranch MC4 connectors? I know the Kyocera panel drops down after loosing it's screws, but how do I efficiently put the wiring together in parallel?

Thanks.

I would just cut the MC4 connectors off one end of the supplied cable and replace them with sealed ring terminals sized to fit The Kyocera studs.

Thanks Curt.

You will also need the appropriate grommets to seal the wires at the entry to the Kyocera junction box. I can’t remember the type but you can see the type used on your existing Kyocera panel. You could also just use a bit of marine sealant.

Thanks again for the followup to keep the connections dry.
