What a fantastic sight it was to see the "Adventurer" being towed into the parking lot of the Anacortes Marina Wednesday morning, May 12th. This was the culmination of a five month wait due to having to relocate from Anchorage. After launching her, Andrew Curtis spent the rest of the day going over the vessel's systems, electronics, and answering a multitude of questions. We spent several hours under way and what a great "Tug". It was like we were made for each other. Not having been on the water for several years, I was a little awed by the helm and the electronics. That all went away as soon as Andrew said "are you ready to start her up and head out?". What a great handling vessel. I have a lot of home work to do with the various electronics. The very next morning, I met "Capt Mac" at the marina and spent the entire day with him on the water enjoying his training course. What a knowledgeable person. He has forgotten more than I have ever known, and I grew up on the water around Lummi Island. Two beatutiful days on the water with two talented and knowledgeable instructors was a great way to start our adventure on the "Adventurer". Now that the vessel has a home, Ida and I can concentrate on selling our house in Anchorage and finish the relocation to the Anacortes area. To all the folks at Ranger Tug, especially Jeff, Andrew, and Jim, thank you for building us such a beautiful tug. Ida and I hope to meet many of our fellow "Tugnuts" in the months and years to come. 😀

Welcome to the family and congratulations on the birth of your new baby "Adventurer". The Pacific Northwest is a great place to have one adventure after another. Hope to meet you soon!

CONGRATULATIONS! Hope to see you on the water this season! Enjoy the "ADVENTURER", she is an excellent boat.

Adventurer,
Congratulations on finally taking delivery of your new vessel. It seems that it takes forever for it to happen once you make that decision to buy. It is well worth the wait and I know you will enjoy 95% of your time on the water.... (The other 5% you will be saying, "what the heck were we thinking going out today") No matter, all will turn out good. You will find that your "Adventurer" will take care of you.

See you at the Rendezvous in September!

Welcome to Puget Sound, Adventurer!!! I hope to see you out there with your owners while I am out tuggin' around with mine. I am still in the factory, getting all gussied up and being made into a dream boat for my people. I'm not so sure I'm excited about their canines. I heard they are pretty tiny, and I'm a bit afraid that they may fall overboard. I've been assured that both of them will be outfitted with proper lifejackets...but hey...you can't be too careful. How's it feel out there on the water for the first time? I sure like the sound of Anacortes. My people tell me that it is named for Ana Cortez and that they used to go there all the time to catch the ferry to San Juan. Now they fly or boat to Roche Harbor which is where I'll be living when I'm not in Bellingham. So hey, you want to hang out sometime?

And Adventurer, I forgot to sign my name. I'm not used to all this technology stuff.
All the best,
Poppy's Legacy

Randy & Ida,

Toni and I enjoyed visiting with you at the C-Dory factory party a few years ago and now look forward to seeing you again as fellow Ranger owners. We will be at the Anacortes Trawlerfest, maybe we will see you there.

Congratulations!

Hi Randy and Ida,

Who knew that when we sat across from each other at the C-Brat factory party a few years ago that someday we'd be in Ranger Tugs within a week or so of each other....we're looking forward to seeing you again and sharing some adventures on the water. Wish you could have made it to Friday Harbor this past weekend. It was a blast but being boatless wasn't near as much fun for us. Anyway, many congratulations! We're very happy for you.

R-MATEY

PS: It's our turn today!!! YES!!!

Thank you all for the well wishes and welcoming to the "Sound". The Ranger Tug was always in Ida's mind from the very first time she laid eyes on it when we went to the C-Brat get together at the SBS three years ago. Funny how things just seem to work out. Ida did not have to work at trying to persuade me towrds the R-25. As I have been retired for 9 years and Ida just retired last month, we have been planning a new lifes adventure and the name "Adventurer" immediatley came to mind and never a thought otherwise. To Russ & Toni and Joe & Ruth, we enjoyed spending time with you folks at the CBGT also. Those few meetings and listening and talking with other C-Brats and Tugnutters was a major influence on our decision to move to the Anacortes area. We knew that we would leave the "Greatland" but not to where. Friday Harbor sounded like it would be a lot of fun, but just too much to do. I will be at the Anacortes Trawler Fest. Hope to see and meet you all there or around the sound.
