I ordered a Wallas 1300 for our 21EC. It's a very basic & small unit. No thermostat. But it should allow us an extended season by a few months.

I need advice on where to install it. I think it measures roughly WxLxH 4.6" x 11.3" x 9" if I converted properly from their website. I know the fuel tank needs to be below the unit, and the exhaust hose is 3' with a 1' rise/bend needed along those 3'.

Anyone have one of these installed already?

I went ahead and installed a Wallas over the weekend. I have some pictures attached in case someone else tries this in the future.

I struggled with where to install it. My preference was to have the entire unit and fuel container inside the port cabinet. I just could not make it work there. The helpful folks at ScanMarine provided clear requirements for the exhaust elbow rise and where the fuel container needed to be in relation to the heater. Unfortunately, I just could not make it work with everything inside the cabinet.

So I opted to place the heater on top of the cabinet (temporarily losing the cup holder, but that can be re-installed in the space remaining in front of the passenger seat)

After deciding on the location I debated which direction to vent the heat. I worried that having the exhaust hose aft of the unit would make it too handy for passenger to grab as a stabilizer so I placed it so the heat would vent to aft instead.

Jake (my black lab) and I spent the night at Langley on Tuesday. The heater worked wonderfully.
