On my 25SC the aft bilge pump is only connected to the bilge by 1 screw do to the small space in that part of the bilge. The other 2 mounting tabs on the pump casing have been cut off in order for the pump to fit. Has anyone had trouble with the mounting tab breaking and the pump just laying in the bilge? If so what was your solution? Has anyone replaced the Johnson pump with different pump? I just had the pump replaced by my dealer and they cut the only mounting tab in a u shape to make it easier to attach the pump casing. After a 45 minute run the pump came off the screw and is now just resting in the bilge. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I seem to remember on my R-27 that there is one screw that is screwed down into a piece of starboard under the assembly. The screw is actually under the pump itself. You have to remove the pump cartridge to see it. Never had an issue with it.
