Is it really worth having a steering station on the aft of the boat with bow and stern thrusters? Seems to be a lot of money for the few times it would be used. I guess it might come in handy if you have to back into your slip...but then again...with bow and stern thrusters it seems a bit redundant to me....

Do you fish, pull crab/shrimp pots.

I saw last week a 2013 Volvo powered R-27 called the Jersey Girl at the Sweetwater Casino on the Mullica river in New Jersey with bow and stern thruster controls and a forward reverse transmission and throttle control with no wheel for the rudder on a rail type mount on the starboard rear of the cabin on top of the gunnel where the cockpit meets the cabin. It was reported to have cost about 1600 dollars and the owner had done most of the installation work himself. He said it was most handy for backing into a slip and I think he single hands a fair amount of the time.
