Hey fellow tuggers, that is right, our tug made the final trip to come home! After 9 months in a marina in Ontario, we brought her home today. I was wondering if it is ok to plug the tug straight in the electric outlet on the house with the electric cord that was used at the marina, without the adaptor of course? Also, were is the drain plug on the 21EC? I am used to see them at the stern midship?

Thanks to take the time to get back to me! 😉

.. now you can start making those plans !! .. bilge plug shud be about 3' up on the starboard side of the keel .. have fun !! .. Rob

Congratulations! It's great to have your tug nearby.

It should be fine to connect the 21EC to household current...if the boat is unfamilar to you best to 'monitor' the charging process the first time or two to ensure nothing gets too hot.

On my 2013 21EC, the bilge plug is on the PORT side of the keel a little forward of where the rudder shoe bolts on.

Hi Dave, I left the plug in all day, everything seems cool!

Do you let your electric cord plugged in all the time?

What about the bildge plug, do you remove it while it sit's on the trailer?

Ok to leave bilge plug in. That way you will not forget it and launch with it out. Rain will be removed by pump. During freezing temp you would want to drain and protect everything.

I pull the bilge plug when the boat is on the trailer.

Sometimes I leave the shore power cord plugged in...the "smart" charger won't harm the batteries. If the boat is not plugged in, I installed a master switch to turn off the batteries so they won't slowly die due to parasitic loads.
