I am in SW Washington, able to haul our 21' ranger tug and would like to add a swim step and canvas cover to my husband's tug. I have one recommendation and would appreciate others in Portland, Seattle or Tacoma area. Has anyone experienced a great aftermarket addition to their boat and would be able to advise me? Thanks, Heather Vial

Have you tried Richard at Ranger Tugs? He has been very helpful to me on upgrades to my 21EC
Good luck and Happy Holidays!

Hello Heather,

Another source for canvas work is King Canvas (http://kingmarinecanvas.com). They are in Seattle are very familiar with the 21EC. I've ask them about a camperback for my boat and they said they could do it if I sent them my surrey top so they could match everything up.

As Dick mentioned above, the factory would be my first call for the swimstep question.

Heather:
I have a 1992 R-21 classic that I had a full encloser made for the aft deck area. This included all the necessary stainless steel framing and fittings for a fold down frame. The frame and the bimini top when down nest over the aft settee in a boot. The side curtains consist of 10 panels, 4 on each side and two on the stern. They are fully zippered and have straps that allow one to chose which panels they would like to roll up or remove.
I also had a cushion made for the engine cover, for the rear settee, and a padded windsheild cover that wraps around both side windows. I am very happy with the quality of work and materials used. I used Hayden Island Canvas of Portland Or. Greg the owner has access to a large shop near by where my boat was kept out of the weather all the time that he worked on it. I have known Greg for almost 20 years. He is located at a marina where I had kept two different sail boats but only needed his services two years ago when I bought the tug. I have no financial interest in this company.
You can PM me if you like and I could call you and or email you some photos,
Regards Don
