Hi all, this is Duke and Irene and we are in the process of buying a 2005 R-21. As soon as we figure out how to get to it, to bring it home, we are outta here! We are very excited.

Now, we should get this out in the open, right from the git-go. Although we have had power boats, '56 Chris Craft 38 and various cabin cruisers and sport fishermen, we are blow-boaters! :shock: We know...we know...hey, it happens. Infact we have a Morgan 36 Ketch but I think we will be selling it. :cry: But does it count that I have always loved tug boat? I have worked on them? And I even skippered one? Mercy please....have some humanity! :lol:

Anyway...we love this site and we look forward to participating in it. Would like to know if there is anyone else here in coastal North Carolina and we are sure that we will have a ton of questions.

Congratulations on the decision to get the tug. You will love the boat and as they told me at Ranger,"get ready to be told over and over, what a cute boat you have." Some people do not want their boat called "cute" but you better be ready. We have a few items that pose different issues that 21EC owners do not have. I also have a pre-EC (2006) and have worked out a few of the differences. If your boat does not have the mast, boom and sunbrella shade and you are interested in one give me a PM since I installed a hardtop over my cockpit. At this time I am working on the design for a pilothouse extension to gain more space for overnighting.
The boats are great fun and you surely can't knock the 1/3 gal per hr fuel burn. Get an album and add photos when you get the boat because most albums are 21EC's and 25's. Looking forward to seeing your posts on times you are having. We just moved up from the St. Johns river in Fla. and are now enjoying the Tennessee river. If you ever get the chance drag the boat to the St. Johns. It is out of this world for boating.
