I'm wondering if it is a good idea (or not) to winterize my A/C raw water line using compressed air vice anti-freeze.
If so, what is the best recommended method?
If not, why not?
As to why I am asking, I'm cheap.

I’m thinking air would not get thru the pump into the air/heat unit. On the flip side it only takes between 1 and 2 gallons of RV antifreeze to completely winterize one unit, with the assurance that when you see the pink stuff coming out of the hull discharge you’re completely safe for the winter.

I use a hand pump and build up the hose to fit tightly into the discharge thru hull. I open the seacock and then pump in the antifreeze until it exits the seacock. Never had an issue.
