Hello all,

I've been experiencing some weird behavior with my AC unit. I had a feeling the thermostat was inaccurate so I brought a battery operated one on the boat. The cabin is 55% at 71.8 degrees with the AC running. The AC thermostat is set to 73 so it should turn off but it's continuing to run because the AC thermostat thinks its 81 degrees. Any recommendations? Could it be the location of the thermostat or maybe the thermostat is bad?

I tried adjusting the P05 program setting (temp calibration) but it doesnt stay consistent to the battery operated thermostat.

Thank you in advance!

The thermostat is in the A/C panel. Unless you had a remote thermostat installed. If the sun shines on the panel, it will give a false reading.

Thank you! I ordered the remote temperature sensor so hopefully that will help make the temp more consistent.

Good point, no I did not. I did however put a small fan below the AC t-stat to move more ambient air and it’s working great now. Test t-stat and AC t-stat are within 1 degree. So, I have to find a better place for the remote t-stat and all will be good in AC land. Most people say by the return but the return on my C28 is a vent with not return ducting... I guess that’s better than where it is now?

It would be great if you took photos of this install. I’ve been considering adding the remote sensor on my C28 as well. [emoji3]
