We are on the hook, fired up the gerator and turned on the aft air conditioner. It ran for a couple of minutes and then the display read “HPF” and stopped blowing air. What are we doing wrong?

HPF code means you are not getting enough seawater circulation so system shuts down. When you turn it on look over the side for a/c water discharge. Is seacock valve open? You may need to purge air out of stainer by slightly opening cap for a few seconds. You could have a clogged hose in which case you could shut the seacock, open strainer and force water through with a hose.

Thank you for replying! Where do I find the seacock and strainer for the A/C system? This boat has so many! Not sure which one I am looking for. We’re in an area where the temps are expected to be 100+ so I would be thrilled to get this working today.

So I got the system working. However, water was initially coming out and then stopped while the unit was running. Is that normal, or should water be continuously flowing?

Good morning. When the AC compressor is running water should be discharging from the port. Once the temperature setting on the thermostat is reached the compressor will go off and the water will no longer be discharged and the cycle repeats. Compressor on, water out. Compressor off water discharge off. Your fan may continue to run.
Hope you stay cool.

Thank you so much! We are loving this boat, and the TugNuts community makes the ownership experience even more amazing!
