Newbie question here...

We've had our R29 CB for just a few weeks. Haven't had trouble switching control between helms. Yesterday, an alarm went off on the command bridge whenever it had control.

There was a warning light on the throttle base at the cabin helm (a red triangle with an exclamation point), but not one on the command bridge.

We had an engine warning early on, because SOMEONE forgot to open the seacock after inspecting the raw water coolant basket. 😳

But that was quickly remedied and we used the command bridge most of the day.

The problem happened after we pulled anchor and we're heading home.

Any thoughts or insights are much appreciated.

If it's a single beep on the bridge every ten seconds or so, then we have the exact same problem on our 29CB! Haven't figured out what causes it because it doesn't happen every time. The only temporary fix I have discovered is to completely shut the engine off, turn off ignition, and restart from the bridge. Let me know if you figure it out...

Thanks for the reply!

We had tried shutting off the engine, but not cutting power to the ignition.

It helps to know that others are having the issue and that it appears to be random.

I will ask the factory folks about it and share anything I find out.

That is a new one to me. The good news on the Volvo is there is a warning manager that would log any codes or tell us what is going on if a problem did indeed exist. I'll connect you with Tim to troubleshoot. I will let you guys determine the issue and report back in case someone else has the problem. Im copying and pasting this in an email I'll send to Tim right now.

Coming in 5 Ken and M.

Thank you,
