Willie's Tug is safely out of her slip, on the trailer, and safe and snug in the RV garage. Willie, Jake and I are now in the motor home about 250 miles North of Port Isabel. We decided to leave for the Pacific NW a little earlier than planned. Some interesting clouds in our rear view mirror. Several hundred RVs have vacated South Padre Island according to the County email updates on the hurricane. Hope everyone that stays will be safe and that the storm surge is not as high as predicted.

Hi Herb, Wilma, and Jake,

We've been watching the Weather Channel, Weather Underground, and Crown Weather. 36 hours ago, it looked like Alex was going to come right into our back yards; now, the predictions are south of us into Mexico. Of course, that will put us on the "dirty" side. The storm surge estimates I've seen are 5 to 7 feet, but I've learned to not put my trust in the weather weasels.

You three travel safe and enjoy getting away from the heat and humidity. We had our warmest morning here so far this season... 48º. I kinda miss some humidity... I'm guessing you'll enjoy some dry for a change.

Best wishes,
Jim
