My anchor light works intermittently, comes on some times, not others, comes with the switch, fails and goes off.
I am thinking it has to be the switch. Anyone had a similar experience?

I would clean up the connections at the bulb. Maybe just a bit of fine sand paper.. You may need to bend them a bit so they are tighter on the bulb.. it will make sense when you take the lens cover off.

Right, did these things, the last thing I can think of is the switch.

Three weeks ago I had to replace the connector where the wire comes out of the cabin top. The wire going into the mast had corroded at the connector, and only a few strands of wire were carrying the load. My boat is also a 2012 R29.

That was an issue with mine a while back. Removed the wires going into the connector cleaned everything up. Used some no ox-ID on all connections and have been good ever since.

Just another thought. Is it intermittent when on with the running lights or just when on anchor ? That may help point to the switch.

I have has bad contacts on wiper push on terminals on switches. Remove, clean and replace. Tighten if loose.
But I would clean lamp and socket first.

Many thanks for the help, it was the connector. Mine wasn’t corroded at the wires but rather at the terminal itself. Hard to get to, could badly see it, but got it cleaned and the problem is solved.
