Anchor Locker Clog

Flushing out our locker, as we noticed lots of sand/mud on the chain, the locker was clogged. Removed all the rode and the water was draining quite slowly. What’s the best way to clear the drain line out?

I had the same problem. I used a nozzle on a hose to clear it. It's a regular maintenance item for me now. This is similar to what I have https://www.amazon.com/Simple-Houseware ... 51PC&psc=1

Think you’re link might be for something else. I’m seeing a desk organizer.

The anchor locker is discharged from the rear bilge. Does the bilge pump discharge sand or is all the sand accumulated in the rear bilge.

For the bow anchor locker I’ve used a combination of a coat hanger and a little high pressure water. On the R27 and R29S we had there was a hose attached below the locker floor that went down to the forward hull outlet. I mention this because too much water pressure could work the hose off, causing a water mess somewhere besides exiting the hull drain. Access the hose behind forward bedroom locker or mirror if you get a water leak or need/want to check the hose clamps for tightness.
