Anchor Swivel

Upgrading my C30CB to a Rocna 15kg anchor and wish to add an Mantus swivel. Chain per Andrew is 5/16 ths. Mantus S1 fits
5/16 G30($65) and S2 fits 5/16 G40($85). What is this "G" rating and which Mantus would be the best fit. Don't want any more hardware than appropriate.

A swivel did not always work with my anchor. My Manson Supreme would not reliably load until I put an Anchor Straightener on it. This now always flips the anchor to load correctly in the basket. This contains a swivel but also a bent arm which helps to right the anchor.

I recently installed a Rocna 15kg anchor on our R-31CB, and ordered a Mantus swivel to go with it. In my opinion, Mantus products are superbly engineered. Their swivel completely avoids the weaknesses of the standard type swivel that is so prevalent. My chain is 5/16” galvanized G40 (HT) as supplied by the factory, and I am certain yours will be the same. The “G40” designation is the same as “High Test” and means that it will be much stronger for its size than G30. You can confirm that your chain is G40 by looking for the designation “G4” stamped on the links. Having said that, you still want the Mantus S1. This actually does fit the 5/16” G40 chain (I put it on mine). The S2 is for 3/8” chain.

Does the Manson Supreme fit the anchor roller and Chute without alterations? I'm wanting to upgrade from the Bruce style to a Rocna but I have to change the roller bracket to accommodate the anchor. The Manson is also a good upgrade any modifications needed?

Thanks for all the advice. I'll return the S2 and go with the smaller S1 as I don't want more swivel hardware than I need.
