Anchor upgrade

Hi there. I’ve looked at a number of threads about which anchor folks go with. I’ve also seen some talk about bigger is better and more holding power, and the benefit of more chain vs less.
My question though is, how big of an anchor can fit reasonably on the bow of a R31-CB? Mine came with a 22lbs Bruce. I’m considering an upgrade as we plan on anchoring often in the Puget Sound. Thanks!

We ran a Rocna 15 on our r31. It’s as big as you can go and heavier than the stock anchor. Plus it has a sharp tip to dig in fast. We never worry about the anchor holding. We now have a Solara 310 and moved the Rocna to the 310. We have the stock 50 feet of chain and 225 rode.
We did need to add a mantus anchor guard to keep the tip of the anchor from hitting the bow.

I have an R29 Sedan and upgraded from a stock to Mantus anchor. Mantus had LOTs of info on their website to narrow down the options. I then validated my final choice by searching Tugnuts as anchor selection is a hot topic.

Suspect other anchor suppliers have similar info.
