We picked up & trained on our 2020 R29 in August of 2019, and I have completely forgotten any information about anchoring this boat. I know info on anchoring in general (how much scope to let out, don’t use the windlass to pull the boat) but I can’t remember the steps to take with operating this anchor on this model. Are there any videos showing how to release/retrieve the anchor for a visual refresher?

I don’t know of any videos but I’ll give a view tips. Once your anchoring spot has been determined we deploy enough rode so the anchor has reached the seabed plus an additional 10-20 feet. At this point we’ll let the boat drift back or engage reverse briefly to take any slack out, without setting the anchor. I then deploy the remaining scope to get to my desired ratio. Once that is done we engage into reverse with a slight amount of power until the anchor catches and or the ride is taunt. We put tie the rope rode off one of the bow cleats and set a mark on the gps for monitoring purposes as well as take a visual for landmarks to measure movement against.
