It is with some sadness that we are leaving the Ranger family. Since 2007, we have had a Ranger Tug, the Laurie Ann was a Ranger 25 and Andiamo, a beloved 2012 Ranger 29 was acquired to do the Great Loop. The unintended consequence of living aboard for 10 months was getting hooked on it. We told Jeff Messmer that he does not have a boat for us (yet). So Andiamo is in Anacortes with a broker because we have purchased a larger, single engine trawler that has more livability features. See the Ranger Tug for Sale Forum.

The Laurie Ann went to Tom and Pam Zimmerman in Michigan and re-christened her to Evolve. They cruise Florida in the winter. Andiamo is looking for her next owner who will hopefully love her as much as we have.

Our two websites, www.laurieann-ranger25.com and www.andiamo-ranger29.com, will remain up and maintained because they get so many hits and we will continue to answer the private messages that come our way. We are pleased to have been a part of the beginning of the Tugnut family and having a hand in the first rendezvouses in Bremerton. The Krogen-ites have much smaller gatherings. We are not going away, just going to another boat.

When you see Tribute on Puget Sound, cruising along at 7 knots and you get a hoot from our horn, give us a hoot back.

Wow---How exciting !!! See you soon !!!

Hi John & Laurie,

Can you tell us what Kadey-Krogen you have purchased. A Krogen would be our dream vessel.

J and L,
Glad you're remaining part of the tug family...and, in a one-time offer only, I will trade you straight across the Red Ranger for Andiamo! 🙂

Congratulations John & Laurie - we've always be fascinated and inspired by seeing fellow boaters learn, grow, and evolve. You two have always been fine examples. We hope to see you on the water!

Cheers,

Bruce & Vicki

John and Laurie,
Congratulations on the move up. Thank you for the encouragement and instructional postings regarding the "first generation" R-25s. I continue to look to you (your posts) for ideas and assistance. Robyn and I will keep a sharp eye out for you on the water.

John and Laurie your posts and web site have guided us TugNuts so well over the years. Thank you for documenting your helpful hints, kinks, and experiences for us.

I was told many years ago by a wise friend that he lived his life in 10 year segments. Willie and I wish you the very best in your next segment and hope our wakes continue to cross.

It is because of your website that I found my path that I want to travel in the boating world and the Ranger Tugs. If we should ever meet I owe you both a drink and a big hug.

Congratulations John and Laurie on the Kady Krogan purchase, a boat that Lisa and I have always admired. Enjoy your new adventures and we hope to see you out on the water the next time we're in the PNW.
