Our family has rented the Fox Trot house at Roche Harbor for the Labor Day weekend and we intend to meet up with them. This has been an annual event for several years now. Roche Harbor puts on a spectacular show for this weekend and it marks their last big summer weekend for arrival of boats -- large and small. 🙂 I'm typically put into a slip in front of 80-footers which allows me to watch their big flat screen TV shows in the evening from my cockpit... 😀
Any rate... we plan to leave Edmonds on Wed Aug 28 and make our way slowly up to Roche Harbor for Friday Aug 31st by way of La Conner and Snug Harbor which is just a little south/west of Roche and north of Smugglers Cove. See http://www.snugresort.com/marina.html. We choose Snug Harbor as we like it there and this also allows us to get up early at Snug Harbor, take a short trip northerly and arrive at Roche early in the day to get a decent slip assignment there on the Friday morning.
We plan to leave Roche on Monday Sep 3rd and make are way back to Edmonds by Tuesday Sep 4th, leaving us a day to square things away before going over to Bremerton for Thursday Sep 6th to join up with the PNW Ranger Tugs Rendezvous 2012 event.
If anyone has a mind to travel up to the San Juan islands when we leave Edmonds on Wed Aug 29th or join us at some mid point along the way send me a PM or Email me.
Maybe there will be some Tugs coming down from Canadian waters on Monday Sep 3rd/4th to make the PNW Ranger Tugs Rendezvous 2012 at Bremerton... if so, call me on 206-310-2671 when in USA waters. 😉
