I saw the photos of the new Cutwater 30, but I would like to see the R-31. Come on you guys and gals - someone has a picture or two sitting in their camera . . . .

It's on the floor at the Seattle boat show. Sorry I didn't take a picture. If any tugnuts are going to the show before it closes, maybe that person will take a photo and post it. As functional as the command bridge might be, especially in warmer climates, to my eye it detracts from the lines of the tug. The lines on the 31 sedan were totally sweet. Hull was red (claret, I think, but it could have been hero - I was distracted by the closer-to-our-price-range models). All in all, the sedan 31 was very fetching.

I spent a fair amount of time on the R-31 Sedan a couple of times over the weekend at the Seattle Boat Show, but unfortunately do not have photos.

I loved the very spacious cockpit since I spend lots of time in my 25SC cockpit, as does my pooch. I enjoy hanging out there while tied up at a dock or on the hook. The cockpit of the R-31 Sedan is very spacious and welcoming, with room to sit and chat, nibble, have a drink and also keep an eye out if you have kids or a dog inside the boat or perhaps in the dinghy or on the dock.

This model still has the great interior like the R-31 that came out last year and for those who don't want a bridge, the price difference will be very helpful. As one who has boated quite a bit on other Coast Guard Auxiliarists' boats here in the Pacific NW that have bridges, I love the wonderful visibility, but am almost always freezing, even in boats with enclosed bridges.

Hopefully someone will have photos for you 🙂

Gosh, Anne. I've followed your posts here on the forum, and who knows, maybe we negotiated our way around each other while checking out the tugs last weekend. Would have been nice to meet you officially. Maybe another time. Meanwhile, I agree entirely with your assessment of the virtues of the 31. I have to say, though, that in some ways, I found the 29 equally spacious. That added beam over the 25s and 27s sure is nice. But for now, I think I could find serenity on any of the tugs. Love 'em all in their own way.

This is the best shot I got...

I believe the mermaid is on the unpublished options list, no price disclosed.

I believe adding the Mermaid Feature would find many banned from thier boats!

My wife's newest phrase: "You can do that with your next wife."

This one could check the prop for you and catch crab without a trap!!

Sorry don't have access to my pics right now but you can check out our photo album for Sand Dollar II on Tugnuts and you can see how our R31 Sedan looks. I didn't notice any changes from our model which was new last July

Cheers
