Any R27s in Tampa/St Pete or Punta Gorda/Cape Coral areas?

I'm in the very early stage of considering a Ranger 27 as my next boat and would like to look at one without too much driving. I live in St. Pete and am going to PG & CC in the next couple of weeks, so either area or somewhere in between would be ok. If there's anyone that has one that would be willing for me to look at for a few minutes, it would be greatly appreciated. The closest one for sale that I can find is on the east coast.

Thanks,

Are you looking for the inboard 27 or the outboard 27?

There are now two Ranger Tug R-27s. One is the (what I'll call) the R-27 (Classic) with an inboard direct drive Volvo engine and the other is brand new and known at this time as the New 2018 R-27 which has a 300HP Yamaha outboard. Both of these can be reviewed on the Ranger Tug's web site for you to gander at and make your choice/decision. The web site has plenty of photos for each R-27 model. If you search/look at the posting I made on the new 2018 R-27 which I've seen and reviewed you will get some idea of the new R-27 vs. the R-27 (Classic). If you're new to Ranger Tugs be aware that Ranger has started to phase out some of its product line such as the older R-29 design, the older R-25 (Classic) design and I suspect it's likely the R-27 (Classic) will also be phased out within a year depending on how well customers view and purchase the newer Tugs.

Jim,

There is a Ranger Tugs dealer on Sanibel Island at Sanibel Marina where Grandma Dot's restaurant is located. I think they are a branch of the primary Florida dealer, Edgewater Yacht Sales, in Pensacola, FL. They are called Ireland Yacht Sales:

Although the Ranger Tugs are not shown on their web site, I do know they have several Ranger Tugs in stock, but I don't know if one of them is an R27.

To Barry: I'm only looking for used + I don't like the idea of encumbering the small aft deck area with an outboard motor which it seems would negate the possibility of having any kind of dinghy.

To others: I've already spoken with Edgewater hq in the panhandle and they don't have any R27's in stock in any of the locations in my area.
