Has any one installed a fold-up armrest on the gangway side of the helmsman's seat ? On long runs I find my left arm would welcome a little more support rather than dangling or laying in my lap.
It would seem an easy task to construct such an armrest. Of course a padded one would be a nice touch using same material as the seat itself.
While on the subject of armrests, I think a fixed armrest on the starboard side wall for the helmsman would also be a nice addition. For me I find I place my forearm+elbow on the open window's sill, but this surface becomes hard on my forearm after awhile. Mind you, its good for getting a sun tan on the forearm at times. 🙂
