Just wanted to share that our beloved 21EC is safe and sound. We moved it to the town of Eden 35kms away two days before the fires struck. Our village of Wonboyn on far south coast of New South Wales was devastated. Houses lost. 20 people stayed to fight and defend. I am in the volunteer Rural Fire Service so it was a busy time! Neighbour's house lost and other neighbour lost his large shed. We were spared but nearly lost the shed where I store my RT. My wife and I spent most of the night in a small purpose built fire bunker. An indication of devastation is that between our village of normally 150 people and our next major town of Eden about 3000 people 35 kms away where our main trunk electricity comes 600 power poles and wires down in village, surrounding community and main trunk line. Estimating six weeks to get electricity back on. Using generators to keep fridges cold and for light and communication. Emergency Services supplying fuel. No mobile phone coverage since no power. I am using satellite internet. Getting lots of support. Had Army, Navy, Airforce, Police and Emergency Services in village yesterday at fire shed. Anyway all good. My 21EC safe and sound. Heading into Eden today to pick it up to bring home. I have been told it is covered in black ash, embers and soot. Lots of cleaning needed. Hope no damage. Fingers crossed I can get it past road blocks. I will wear my fire fighting yellows so should have no problem. Sorry to be off topic but very happy I saved our little Ranger Tug!
