Autopilot won't engage

My garmin autopilot won't engage. Click on engage then briefly flashes engaged then 'you have the helm".

Any suggestions ?
 
I recently had this problem on my 29 and Andrew was a life saver! Just unplug the two connections from the back of the panel gauge, wait a minute or so and plug them back in. Auto pilot will reset and work fine!
 
Ended up being two separate problems ...bad shadow drive and separately bad connection.

Now I'm trying to reconfigure tuning wizard because the sensitivity does not seem correct.
