Awlgrip paint shop recommendation New England

Hello All,

Can anyone recommend a good paint shop doing awl grip (or maybe Imron) paint in New England, preferably Mass or Maine?

I would appreciate any details such as level of customer service, timing, cost, and any other information you are able to share.

I would give Niemiec a call 508-997-7390. They are in Bedford. They do mostly engine work, but they may be able to direct you to a good firm. They are located in Bedford MA. I would also give Peter Haywood a call at Winter Island Yacht - (978) 745-3797. He is a pretty capable all around guy. He had done fiberglass repair etc. If he can't do it he may know of someone. Tell him Mike Rizzo told you to call him.

A member at my yacht club recently had her trawler completely awl gripped at Marblehead Trading Company in Marblehead, MA. It looks like a brand new boat.

Larry, have seen the red owl a few times in Mhead harbor. Definitely talk to Peter. He got someone nearby that does paint and glass work. He made the damage to the outside and inner hull disappear on my cutwater 28. Damage was in the thousands and you cant even tell anything ever happened. shape color all back to normal. Perhaps if I see you in the harbor be glad to tell you the story of how that all happened. Just up river at danversport and the willows.
