After all the cold and ice and no power, it was nice have a sunny day. What a difference yesterday was near 70 and the sun beaming down warming us all.

We found Jim and Joan of Wild Blue, our local C-Brat also out in the bay.

OH HOW SWEET IT IS! 😀

Thanks for sharing.

hey Herb! We have an "classic" R21 tug and I have been looking for cushions for the back seat--just like your blue ones! Can you help me out with information on where you got those snappy looking cushions? thanks...
We just spent a few hours snow blowing so we can get out of the yard. Hubby blew a path to the tug so he can check on it and dream of spring. It has a nifty cover on it so it can sit in the yard between the house and the frozen lake. Can't wait.

Hi Herb,

A couple great days on the water after that "winter weather." Always good to see you out there!

Willie's Tug is looking good!

Best wishes,
Jim

Another instance of the great support from the Ranger Tug Factory. John Livingston gave me the name of a lady that has the original pattens for all the cushions. I called her, she asked me to take a picture of the trim for color matching. She did a great job. Here is her phone and email:

Thanks for the information! Since I am the one who gets to "recline" on the cushion while hubby motors the tug around the lake I am very excited to have a comfy spot. Can I say that you recommended her?

You sure can, she was a pleasure to deal with, she made the cushions and shipped them to us along with the invoice for payment. We also got the matching cushion for the motor box. The only problem I have is that they attract more Golden Retriever hair than the old vinyl pads did 😀 So I keep a brush handy.

so this queston is really for Jake, we have a dog that rides along in our small boat. we run on the ICW and can easily beach it when she needs to 'go'. since we are looking to move up now to something where we'll all stay onboard, how are you handling to need to go issues?

Herb,

I noticed that your cushions are a rather dark color. Do they get real hot - hot enough to be a problem - when exposed to the relentless Texas sun?

When it is warm, I usually have the boom Bimini up. Have not had a problem with the Sunbrella cushions and heat. Of course I do not spend too many summers here. I guess I have become a reverse Winter Texan.

Thanks, Herb. We currently have the beige color and will probably stick with that for the aft rail cushion.

The beige looks good - real classy. But it does not hold up to KFC chicken and young grand kids. 😱 😳

Nice lady!

I just ordered an aft rail cushion in hopes of the ice going out on our lake (South Dakota!) so we can put the boat in the water.
