Baltimore's Trawler Fest will be held this week from Sept 24-29. Local Ranger dealer, Pocket-Yacht, will have three tugs as well as Cutwater boats in the water to view and tour.
Ranger 25 SC owner, Bill Eggert (me) will give a presentation on his book Gentlemen of the Harbor: Stories of Chesapeake Bay Tugboats and Crews, on Saturday, October 28th at 2:45 PM onboard the 71 year old Liberty Ship, John W. Brown, docked within the show.

I'd like to heartily endorse Bill's book on the Gents of the Harbor, even comes with a CD of the sounds onboard a working tug. The book is a great read which will certainly enhance the magazine rack of every Ranger Tug. Best of luck Bill, hope you're presentation went well and you sold a lot of copies. See you on the Bay.

Trawlerfest is a great time too. Bet the Pocket-Yachts exhibit was a big hit. We've been to many and the 2009 Solomons, Md. show was where we penned a deal with Jeff Messmer to have our R-29 built.

Saw a group of tugs staged on Kent Island as we drove to BWI yesterday for our trip to babysitting duty in Houston. Not sure if they were to be towed to Baltimore or Annapolis for Power Boat show. Sure looked good.
