Hey folks.

just wondering what issues I may run into beach anchoring? I see pictures of boats doing this but haven't worked up the courage to do it. The beach is sand with little chance of hitting anything.

Not sure what you mean. It is not good to run the boat up on the sand and sleep on the boat as the wind could change and drive you further up the beach. I have many times, anchored and then pulled the boat to shore and ties off to a tree. The boat can be in a few feet of water. Again be careful of the wind direction.
Where do you live. I too am in Cambridge and have the 21ec. Currently in the north channel for the next 4 weeks. o

I've tried this once but was forced to deeper water because I was concerned with picking up sand in the thru hulls.

Couple of things I have learned:

- I feel better leaving the boat in deeper water, using multiple anchors to steady the vessel.
- Having the swim step or bow ladder near a beach is a lot of fun vs. on the beach. Kids love jumping off the bow.
- Current in my area is always something to watch out for (thus the extra anchors to keep me in position).
- When doing something new it is always helpful having help. I find this greatly increases the chance of success and avoids stress.

Good luck!!
