Has anyone found a practical solution to meaningfully reduce the number of birds roasting on the bow rail. My forehead looks like a Dalmatian.

1st boat where it's been this bad.
They appear to be baby cormorants if that matters.

I had good results using this product against birds on my Cruisers Inc when living in Wisconsin. It was a pain to measure and setup the first time but after that we left it in place on the flybridge and the bow rails. The cockpit rails attachments were removed when using the boat and easily put in place when we left the boat.

I'm right in the middle of a battle with blackbirds in my harbor. For almost 40 years, the seagulls left my boat mostly alone...then, lo and behold, blackbirds have singled it out. I mounted an 8 ft. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QZPMXWK?ref_=pe_125775000_1044873430_i_fed_asin_title&th=1 and I saw a blackbird standing right under it. I also used fishing line, strung between rails, with an old CD that seems to be more effective. I might try venjeff's tape if shiny stuff works better than my Bird Barrier.
