Blue Merle is coming

We put a deposit down on an R-27 today.

We're going to call it Blue Merle.

This culminates a search and research process with many thanks to Jeff at Ranger Tugs who gave us a tour of the prodcution facility, and we actually got to see the boat we are getting under construction.

Thanks also to Bob and Nita of Nellie Too, who showed us their beautiful R-29 in Anacortes and invited us into their lovely home. Southern hospitality just got upstaged.

And thanks to Larry and Dot in Endeavour on my home water in Lake Allatoona in Georgia.

And a big hats off to Marc Grove at Wefings in Apalachicola for letting us trailer and launch the R-27 on the test run in Apalachicola Bay.

I know there's going to be a lot more questions come up for us, and the siren song of the ICW and waters over the horizon is getting louder....

Now to trade the F150 in on a diesel.

We only had a 3 day weekend in the Puget Sound area, but the beauty rubbed off and although it may not be until next year, we definitely will return. And bring the boat too!
