Blue Merle Launched

Blue Merle joins the fleet, launched in Apalachicola and maiden cruise to Panama City.

Cruising partners, christening assemblage and following angels John and Boots Vassar helped make this a memorable trip.

I decided to use my favorite Rum, Ron Zacapa 23, to christen Blue Merle to celebrate the nautical tradition of a Tot of Rum for the sailors on board.

We used a ceremony from here:

Well,

It started out as a 2 hour voyage or was it a two minute christening ?
We know that we are few in numbers those of us Blessed to live and cruise in the South but to have found cruising friends like Nicole and Bill could only happen because of the Tugnuts FAMILY.
AND yes he did recite everything that is posted herein and a lot more also and we were on the way to dinner.
What a Grande time we did have.
