Our 2018 R31-SE was left cold and dark after the recent storm, which caused a major power outage at our local marina (Eagle Harbor Marina on Bainbridge Island).
When I came to check on the boat yesterday, nothing worked. Fortunately both battery banks were still with a good charge, so at least the emergency bilge pump is protecting the boat from sinking.
Because this happened during the holiday, I have been unable to get hold of any marine electrician. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Claus,
When you say "nothing worked", can you be more specific? Do you have power from the pedestal to the boat? Do you have power to the panel box?

Hey Claus,
I presume you checked that first sneaky breaker that is behind the back seat in the cockpit? That’s the one that I always forget about and every time this happens, it has been the culprit. -John

John I will be going to the boat later today. You are right, I forgot about that sneaky breaker that is so well documented in the manual (Sarcasm!!!).
Keeping my fingers crossed...

One other quick suggestion: If you haven’t closed all seacocks, do it ASAP. According to my surveyor and boat salvage friends, open seacocks are the leading cause of boats sinking at the dock or in a slip (due to having a leak or hose burst somewhere in the line after the seacocks). I never leave my boat for more than a with the seacocks open unless I am aboard and using it every day.

John,

I am on the boat. The breaker is on, but the 50 Amp/120 Volt is evidently blown. How do I replace it? Hope you can reply while I am on the boat.

John, your breaker should be 30 amp, not 50, if it is like my R31. Are you talking about the inside AC main breaker at the top of the panel behind the door into the mid-berth?

There is the ELCI breaker that trips when power surges are experienced. If the boat is plugged into the shore power pedestal and the breaker is turned to on position you should see power at the breaker panel on board the boat. If you see power at the panel then turn the breakers on at the power panel and you should have 120 to all users. If you do not see power at the breaker panel with the shore power pedestal breaker on and you know there is power at the pedestal there is a good chance that the ELCI breaker is tripped. This breaker is normally close to the 120 Volt 30 amp shore power plug on the boat. I believe the R31 it is located below the aft cockpit seat in the newer model R31's

UPDATE: after doing some troubleshooting on the phone, it turned out the shorepower cord wasn't all the way plugged in on the dock side.
