I'm looking to have our "Kismet" boat graphics made by a vinyl graphic maker in Fort Myers. Any Tugnutters have local experience or recommendations for a company to produce our designed boat graphics in Fort Myers?

Do you already have a unique font/template?

I used signspecialists.com

They have lots of vinyl patterns and fonts to choose from, but most importantly if you have a unique font, you can upload your font and they can provide a rendering before you commit to purchase.
 
Hi Robert. Thanks for the info however Lisa, my beautiful and talented wife (working on my man points) is a graphic designer by trade and has our design and fonts completed and on a zip drive. With that said all we need is for someone to produce our design onto our selected vinyl graphic colors, which is why I was looking for someone in the Fort Myers/Cape Coral Florida area.

Hi Jim, be sure you research different types of vinyls, cheaper thinner may not last very long and begin to look ratty and tatty :?
 
"Boat Lettering To You.com" is another option.
You design on line - they produce and mail.
Putting it on becomes the challenge - worth getting the "insurance ' option which gives you a free replacement if you mess up. IMO it is also worth getting the installation kit.
Nice product/lots of choices/reasonable price.

You could contact the company we use at the plant, here is her email: margaux@margauxmarinegraphics.com. She does the designs and prints the vinyl as well, I am sure she would be able to use the font and design Lisa came up with. I know your looking for a local shop but I've used BoatUS twice with great results. Delivery in less then a week.

Hi Jim,

I have used FastSigns in several locations (for full disclosure: not in Fort Myers) and have received excellent results. They make all kinds of commercial signs and banners. Like Lisa, I make my own design and either e-mail it to them or take it in on a flash drive. Let them know you want heavy commercial grade vinyl. On Wild Blue, I had them use a gold foil and solid dark blue with my files. On our current boat, red and white lettering in a wave pattern. Excellent results.

I made a file for some friends here for their boat, using their idea for what they wanted and matched the color to their fishing boat. They took the file to the closest FastSigns (about 45 miles away), and got a perfect match for the color on their boat.

Their prices are reasonable, you can work with them face-to-face if you want, and they had my graphics ready the next day. They threw in a spatula-type squeegee for the install - easy to do yourself since they have it all laid out, with the proper spacing... fit it in place, squeegee it down, peel off the installation sheet. I have them do my registration numbers, too, so the colors and fonts match.

Jim,

I had vessel name & place graphics done for my R31 in Fort Myers. You can see the results at the SW Florida Rendezvous in February at the Burnt Store Marina when I will have my boat there. I picked out the font, size and color that I wanted and they did a nice job creating the graphics and they applied them for me. I don't recall the name of the outfit at the moment, so I will have to look it up in my records. It is on San Carlos Blvd about 1/2 mile north of Summerlin Road.
