Hi everyone! My wife and I are excited to be taking delivery of our new R-31CB later this year. We would like to have the name and hailing port professionally installed and hoped someone might be able to recommend a vendor in the Seattle area so this could be done before we have the boat shipped back to Maryland.

Thanks!
Rob

Margaux Marine Graphics - Margaux did a great job on all four of our Ranger Tugs (over 15 years) as well as countless more for other owners. Highly recommended.

Cheers,

Bruce

+1 for Margaux. We had our lettering done at factory before shipping back east. Extremely pleased with results.

Where in MD? We spend most of our time cruising Northern Chesapeake and it’s tributaries between Elk River and Annapolis.

Thank you for the recommendation and affirmation of Margaux‘s work! We will get in touch.

We are 2 rivers north of Annapolis on Bodkin Creek. We have been sailing and cruising the area from Havre de Grace to St. Michaels (eastern and western shores) for several years now and are without a boat for the first time in a long time. 🙁 I’ll keep the forum updated as we bring Kairos home next spring and hope to see you on the water!

If you are just putting the boat name and hailing port on your transom, it is an incredibly easy DIY. The marine grade vinyl will last for years, and a professional install won't really be any better (at least product wise)

BoatUS lettering and graphics are about the least expensive way to go, and they come all ready to be placed on your boat.
You can get pretty creative with the options they have on their "Design your Boat Graphics" web pages.

Just my $.02, but to me this type of project is fun and since it is so easy to get professional results, being able to always look over and admire your work is a nice bit of sunshine some days (when other things may not be going so well 😉 )

I also agree with Jim and also used BoatUS and a great turn around time and pricing.

If you are getting a uceramic coating, install the decals beforehand. If you are using Premier Ceramic, Kevin will install the decals for you.

I did a combination of buying the graphics through BoatUS and having a local graphics shop do the installation. The boat was at Alton, IL at the time and the marina folks recommended a graphics shop. Saved a bunch of money and got a good, professional install. But I agree with the others here: it looks like an easy enough DIY job.
