I would like to speak with a person who owns and operates their boat in Alabama. In Michigan when I buy a boat to own and operate in Michigan I first secure a Michigan title and then apply for the registration numbers for the hull and a sticker which is good for three years. The same as for a car in Michigan, except the licnse is good for only one year. I am told in Alabama there no title is issued, only a registration. A person buying a boat for use in Alabama is asking for a registration which he says I must have received when I bought the boat, but I only have a title and then also a registration for the license which on a car is good for one year and on a boat for three years. Can someone explain what is happening in Alabama.
