I've seen this subject posted before, with a mixed reception, but my wife and I thought it was worth a try. We want to go up to the PNW for a few weeks this summer on our Ranger 29 (2010 model) but then were wondering if anybody up there might want to trade. Our boat is at Marina Bay, Richmond. This is a safe neighborhood with parks around it and a couple of miles from Point Richmond which is a historic area with good restaurants. An easy 1 -2 hour cruise takes you to South Beach marina next to A.T. & T. Park where you can watch the Mariners beat the Giants 😀 You could go stay at Pier39, our version of Disneyland. Lots of towns and parks around the bay worth visiting as well as the Delta with fishing, bird watching, etc. We've gone all the way up to Old Town Sacramento which was a kick.
We had out boat in Anacortes for 8 months in 2013 - 2014 and saw some of you at the Fisherman's terminal mini-cruise in 2014. Our boat has the generator/reverse air package along with most all the bells and whistles that anyone could want. Everything is in good working order (as far as I know). Our preference would be for another R29 (or 31).
Obviously this is not something done lightly and a fair amount of planning and discussion would be necessary. We would have to hire the boat trailered otherwise and a savings of 4 -5 k is a good motivator. We do have a small dog that travels with us, maybe you do too. We usually go up into Canada - don't know if that would be a problem. No big water cruising but a trip under the Golden Gate and back would be understandable.
Thanks, Jeff
Anyone's comments are welcome. A serious inquiry might be done by a PM.
