I have a 2017 C30 with the Volvo d6 435. I'm chasing the cause of a loss top speed and looking for some reference.
My max rpms are 3400 and boost pressure of 29psi with a WOT.

That comparable to anyone else out there?

I will take mine out this weekend and report back. I haven't run mine at complete WOT since I did the sea trial / survey.

Great thank you!
Will also be curious your top speed.

I don't have records of boost pressure but I do have them for WOT. Our C30S is usually fairly heavy with almost full water & fuel, provisions, tools, spares, 2 people, and a 60# dog.

Given that, I have 10 records of speed over ground at WOT, which for us is almost always 3630 RPM. The speeds range from 24.0 to 27.0 knots, that's SOG with no account for current. The average is 25.3 knots.

Clogged fuel filter might be an issue.

Martin - that is my thought as well.

I changed fuel filters and increased my speed by a knot or 2. Someone in my other post mentioned a fine mesh screen that is installed at the intake hose of the fuel tank. These are installed by the manufacturer of the tank and are supposed to be removed if housing diesel fuel, something perhaps that does not always get done. That will be my next check.

Before you go crazy, check your bottom. You would be surprised at how a little growth on the bottom will slow you down and reduce RPM with the additional load.

You are right at the low end of rpm’s according to Volvo, redline 3500 less 100. You didn’t mention how much fuel and water you had on board and/or person(s).
