Bow Chocks

Has anyone installed bow chocks on a R29.? I have a 2015 R29 and mooring lines to bow cleats are likely to take off rail stanchions near the bow. Bow chocks between first and second stanchions on each side of bow would avoid damaging bow rail and wear on deck edge. If I attached them on top of the cap where stanchions are mounted, I’m worried mooring lines will rip the chocks out. Open to any ideas.

I have exactly that on my older C26, works like a charm. I assume there's a decent backing plate under them...

My 2018 R31 has bow chocks from the factory. It will definitely help if you can install them, but to do it properly you really do need a backing plate.
