Bow thruster has power but won’t run

Check the thruster fuse. It may even look good, but they can develop small fractures. Turn off the power switch and then use an ohm meter across the studs. It is easier than removing it. Also check your battery voltage. After that there are several other things to check. Imtra has a troubleshooting guide that you can get on line.

When you say power at the switch presumably you mean the switch in the wheel house? If yes then per knotflying's advice check the main power circuit(fuse) to the thruster. If no problem found there then you may have a bad solenoid in the thruster housing or a bad ground. Since the thruster isn't running in either direction the bad ground sounds like the most likely culprit.FIMAN1":2qb1jy47 said:

Like all have said you would want to check the bow thruster fuse which should be close to the thruster battery switch and would be an ANL style fuse. Another check is to check power at the positive and negative connections at the thruster motor. If you have power there then I would be looking at the solenoid. Those two tests should get you to the problem.
