Bow thruster “Pulsating” after use

2016 R 25 SC. I have developed an issue with my bow thruster that I am struggling to trouble shoot. When I use the bow thruster, and release the joy stick to the “neutral position”. The thruster randomly engages pulsing on and off for 1 or two seconds. This creates some challenges when coming to a dock. Has anyone encountered this issue? If so, what was the resolution.

As a note, I had the stern thruster replaced last summer.

Any insight or guidance is greatly appreciated.

Look in the manual. The thruster pulses in different patterns to indicate faults. It's a weird way to implement fault detection but that's what the designers did. If I recall correctly what you're describing is a stuck solenoid. But I've slept since then so may be wrong.

Consider yourself lucky. Laying on anchor one night I woke up with the stern thruster running. That'll wake you up quicker than coffee :shock:
